UCCF 12/3/15: Plainfield Housing Authority Doubles Demolition Charges

2015-990: Amending Resolution Number 2015-423, approving the 2015-2016 Annual Consolidated Action Plan, increasing the funding to the Plainfield Housing Authority Demolition of Elmwood Gardens Project in the amount from $60,000 to $120,000 from CDBG Contingency Funds as approved by the Administrative Subcommittee Meeting of the Union County Community Development Revenue Sharing Committee.

Even after this:
.

.
still hard to figure what this is for and why the cost doubled.

Resolution 2015-423 does not help much either:

2015-423: Authorizing the County Manager to approve the 2015 – 2019 Five (5) Year Consolidated Action Plan and the 2015 – 2016 (Year 41) Annual Consolidated Action Plan including the Community Development Block Grant, HOME Investment Partnerships Program, and the Emergency Solutions Grants Program application for HUD Funds.

if my commenting, the answers came out that the subcommittee cut the price in half, and now later that entity is asking for it back. However, the FH and asst director reyes says its for demo of sidewalks curbs and paving. IMO from construction end,and other contractors would agree, that $60k is a heck of a lot of money for just civil work demo, even if it gets graded back. Bottom line as a guess, whether or not they even told the whole truth to the public, something fishy is going on. Just lke that, $60k, right into someone’s pocket.

BTW JB1-what about that resolution on the taxation that suddenly we taxpayers have to pay thru runnels? any video on that fiasco?
