Summit at a tipping point !?—-All the points brought up were excellent and prudent suggestions and backed up by hard facts–but the boards reaction was appalling !they grinned and smirked- The board refuses to accept any blame for the financial cancer creeping across this county-Bruce was on point and persistent about surpluses but the answers left me reeling—do they think that the average tax payer is a dunce ?– I AM TIRED OF “STATE MADE ME DO IT ” excuse it does not fly any more—–does name detroit mean any thing to them

Now that my blood pressure is up—and over sight in my first comment—–the use of the five minute rule—-it seems to me that at this meeting no one was playing musical chairs and unfortunately every one was playing to an almost empty house–a tactic that is all to familiar at other town meetings

Like ive said for couple years now after summit people comment: When the wealthy come down from the mountain and cry, you know the county financial system is totally out of whack.

Summit crying about their county taxes of 6% a year for the last 5 years and where is this money going, a county HALF BILLION DOLLAR BUDGET?- we see no vast, astounding or awe inspiring programs for all the county residents just small tepid items for certain factions. Where is this money going?

One example I noted is buffoonish sheriff cryan, who got in some Saturday accident driving a county provided car. The FH voted to pay the plaintiff $355,000 direct out of the taxes since the insurance wouldn’t cover it. Big cost–but then the FH 2 months later vote to give cryan a $3,000 raise.

Dumbasses all of them and we see the money fly into specially selected pockets without accountability.

With Towns in Union County 45% foreclosed and taxes well over the projected scales, ( RP is $12,000 average taxes)
most senior citizens and smaller income impoverish families will have to move midwest towards Montana. When will the voters of this county pull their heads out of their asses and decide who is right for elections instead of how much I will be paid for elected official votes.
