Park improvements–did any-one look into the up keep costs of plastic grass—it is not cheap and the install costs are major—and will they fence it and only be used by select groups?—–in one town-bonded for a plastic field then it needed a fence then it needed lights and then it needed rest rooms and then it needed concessions and then it needed security–as jackie gleason would say “and away we go”

How many “stadiums” does Union County need for their residents? Is every park,in the freeholders eyes,a potential olympic site? The maintenance costs of these fields will be high considering the life expectancy of these fields is 8-10 years and as long as there is maintenance done on them on a regular schedule.
The Freeholders will not give the public all the “extras” that go along with this proposal, as mentioned above. They know what it involves behind close doors, but will not tell the public or show the final site map of the proposal.I found out how they operated at the freeholders meetings with the same proposal for Rahway Parks stadium.
