    Freeholder Mirabella is not the ‘business administrator’ in Scotch Plains.

    He is the “town manager’. In the form of government which Scotch Plains has, under NJ’S Faulkner Act, the town manager is essentially the chief executive of the town government. He makes all of the executive decisions for the town government; all town departments, including the police department, report directly to him. The town council functions as the legislative body in the town government – it sets policy and adopts the annual budget.

    Despite what our current activist Mayor would have people believe, it is the town manager, Freeholder Mirabella, who is responsible for executive decisions and to whom all employees and departments report.

    Calling him a ‘business administrator,’ I believe, implies that he has less authority than he actually has.

    how about calling him town assho, but then there is too many of them and it would get confusing
