Honcho Salary Hikes

In what is becoming an annual rtitual the freeholders will vote themselves (and the county manager and most department heads) another raise effective in 2017. Since 2014 the raises have been 2% annually for most (including freeholders) with some department heads getting more and others (Corrections, Administrative Services, and Economic Development née Deputy County Manager) getting less as they got new heads.

Here is that salary history as taken from those annual ordinances:

Free for all when taxpayers picking up the tab. Never see these kind of raises in the private sector. Fucking disgusting.

People don’t realize when they are buying a house or property that they are signing on to support government workers for life. They think it’s an investment, but it’s a noose around their necks. Every property for sale should come with a “notice/disclaimer” showing how much that property owes in pension payments, past, current and future.

The freeholders and department heads are paid salaries well over what they deserve. Most of them are not even college educated or experienced in the field that they are serving. They are just benefactors due to their democrat political connection and/or service. They are also given excessive amounts of vacation time than the average employee. The fat and greedy just keep getting fatter and more greedy. Yet the other “menial” 2,000 county employees are just about given a cost of living yearly increase . The inflated salaries of these elite give the notion to the public that all county employees are overpaid. This is not so. But unfortunately this is the perception thanks to these freeholders and leeching department heads who would never be paid these enormous salaries in the real honest private sector.
