LFB Rubber-Stamp Coming for UCIA Courthouse Fiasco

Unless you people contact the Local Finance Board (LFB) in regard to the application on this Wednesday’s agenda:


This is what the project looked like late last month:


The Cherry Street courthouse was originally supposed to be ready for occupancy on December 19, 2014 at a cost of $33,380,000 with the date and cost moved up to January 4, 2017 and $36,997,581.36 after the sixth change order and now the UCIA wants $8 Million MORE and it is unlikely to be challenged by anyone at the LFB. Among the questions that should be asked:

  • Who messed up?
  • What about the bond on this project?
  • Is anything going to be done to reform the UCIA to curb these massive overages?
