UCCF 11/28/18: Raises for 2019

For years Union County freeholders received annual salaries of $29,500 with the Chair of the Board getting an extra $2,000 and the Vice Chair an extra $1,000.

In 2015 raise ordinances started including freeholder salaries and these fixes have become a seasonal event. At the 11/28/18 freeholder meeting we got:

801-2018 AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE SALARIES OF MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF CHOSEN FREEHOLDERS, THE COUNTY MANAGER AND DEPARTMENT HEADS. FIRST READING STATEMENT
Ordinance Number 801-2018 for First Reading and authorize the Clerk of the Board to advertise same in accordance with the law. The Public Hearing and Final Reading will be held on December 13, 2018.

Here is what they will get in 2019 compared to 2018:

  1. freeholders failed me…allow abuse of the disabled by the people paid to help

I spent my life helping others, now that I am the one in need of help, I am terminally from abuse by the people paid to help. I am too sick to fight anymore. I can only afford to live for about 6 months. Even though I gave thousands of hours of my time, no one will even give me a couple hours to help with things I physically can’t do for myself safely/in a timely manner (household tasks even as simple as taking my broken electronics to the recycling). There have been 3 actual criminal acts against me..or what would be criminal if I didn’t have NHI (No Human Involved) status.

The county IN human/ANTI social services has insisted the protections of the law don’t apply to me…specifically the Americans With Disabilities Act…even the UC Office for the Disabled balked at a reasonable accommodation and made up ridiculous excuses to deny me services. The outrageous accommodation I need is written communication–due to the anxiety from PTSD caused by abuse by people supposed to help.

I am running out of time.

I have been begging for help for 9 and a half years.
