If you were wondering what I was referring to with this question to Governor Murphy?
It happens all the time but a particularly interesting scenario played out in Kenilworth:
Frank Capece is part of a law firm that played this game with Union County for years but then a school lunch scandal broke in Elizabeth and the firm got blackballed though the best we can figure on the timing is a listing of campaign contributions linked to the Capece firm:
If you notice, contributions ceased for a few years but then a $300 toe got dipped into Nicholas Scutari waters in 2017. His reward? For the timing on this let’s look at the Kenilworth check registry for payments to their borough attorneys since 2017:
You may notice that, unlike with Union County, Frank Capece did not donate directly to Kenilworth candidates, only to the political boss who has the keys to the ballot for Kenilworth democrat politicians. In the next blog we look at a vendor who is making contributions directly to Kenilworth candidates.

Any attorney who “donates” money to any political party is suspect, especially when they get work for those “donations” Otherwise, they would have little to no work, plus bonus … when they fuck up like Jonathan Williams of the DeCotiis law firm. No consequences.
