UCCF 10/21/21: Resolutions

More on censorship and the solar panel fiasco (both of which elicited official responses) in the next two blogs but first the Q&A on resolutions:

Resolutions referenced:

2021-762: Authorizing the County Manager to enter into a contract with Live Life Virtually (LLV), LLC, Linden, New Jersey to provide online access to curriculum, training materials, data collection, and the full customization of a version of LLV “Your Practice Life” program for the period of March 1, 2021 through December 31, 2021 in an amount not to exceed $26,800.

2021-766: Authorizing the County Manager to enter in to a lease agreement between the County of Union and Immaculate Conception Church, Elizabeth, NJ, for the rental of 85 parking spaces at $82 per parking space, for the period of January 1, 2022 through December 31, 2022 in an amount not to exceed $6,970 per month for a total annual amount not to exceed $83,640.

2021-772: Amending Resolution Number 2020-371, an agreement with PS&S, Warren, NJ, to perform a flood evaluation regarding the dispatch expansion project, Froehlich Building, Westfield, NJ in an additional amount of $20,000 for a total contract amount not to exceed $330,053 (Union County Engineering Project Number 2019-025).

2021-789: Amending Resolution 2020-619 authorizing the County Manager to exercise the County’s option to extend a contract
awarded to Weldon Materials Inc., Westfield, NJ (BA# UCCP #22-2020) for a period of twelve (12) months to provide Road Materials in the total amount not to exceed $761,676.75.

2021-790: Authorizing the County Manager to award the proposed contract obtained through advertised public bidding (BA#43-
2021) in accordance with the Local Public Contracts Laws, NJSA 40A:11-1 et seq: Department of Engineering, Public Works & Facilities Management to Sage Landscape Contractors, Inc., Watchung, NJ for a contract period of twenty four (24) consecutive months, in the amount not to exceed $189,600 with one twenty four (24) month option to extend.

2021-795: Authorizing the County Manager, through the Open Space, Recreation and Historic Preservation Trust Fund, to award Kids Recreation Trust 2021 grants to twenty (20) municipalities in the County of Union, in accordance with the Kids Recreation Trust grant criteria in an amount not to exceed $1,055,000.

2021-796: Authorizing the County Manager, through the Open Space, Recreation and Historic Preservation Trust Fund, to award Preserve Union County 2021 grants to ten (10) historic sites throughout the County of Union in an amount not to exceed $300,000.

2021-797: Authorizing the County Manager, through the Open Space, Recreation and Historic Preservation Trust Fund to award 2021 Greening Union County grants to nineteen (19) municipalities in the County of Union in accordance with the grant criteria in an amount not to exceed $100,000.

2021-798: Authorizing the County Manager, through the Open Space, Recreation and Historic Preservation Trust Fund, to enter into a contract with Colliers Engineering & Design, Red Bank, New Jersey, for the purposes of conducting a NJDEP-compliant Preliminary Assessment of property located at 735-737 Springfield Avenue, Berkeley Heights, New Jersey in an amount not to exceed $6,500.

2021-803: Authorizing the County Manager to award the proposed contract bid, obtained through advertised public bidding (BA# 44-2021) in accordance with the Local Public Contracts Law, NJSA 40A:11-1 et seq: Office of the Union County Clerk Renovation and Remodeling to Santorini Construction, Neptune NJ, for the purpose of remodeling and renovating the Union
County Clerk’s offices of Business, Elections, Recording, and Public Access areas, in the amount of not to exceed $3,186,000.

2021-805: Amending Resolution Number 2021-681, a contract with Liberty Group, Berkeley Heights, New Jersey for additional work associated with early voting and the new electronic poll books for an additional amount of $30,575, for a new contract amount of $98,875.

2021-810: Authorizing the County Manager to sign any and all documents necessary to enter into a Park Maintenance Association Collective Bargaining Agreement, effective January 1, 2019 through December 31, 2022.
