Thru the Federal Cares Act distribution of $ distributed thru the county, it appears that each freeholder put their hand in the pot and got a vigorish line item of $83,000 paid to them thru “MV Strategies, LLC”. Thats qty of 9 line items for 9 freeholders totaling $750,000. (3/4’s of a million $!) At this point we must wonder why? It would behoove the freeholders (now called the “commissioners”) to explain why they took $83,000 each and should reveal their expense vouchers towards that money. This while their constituents were losing their jobs and their businesses were shut down. We know none of them lost their jobs and some of them are retired and receiving a pension. This short post could make the commissioners out as possible embezzlers. Thanks for bringing this issue to light. Could be fully legal but needs more research. We know their corrupted system’s priority is based on, first, self-enrichment before serving their county residents. SMH.
