UCCF 10/8/15: Sheriffs going to the Max

2015-819: Amending Resolution Number 2015-515, a contract awarded to A & A Fitness Inc. dba The Max of Springfield, Union, New Jersey, to increase the amount by $20,000.00 for physical and nutritional administration services to the UC Sheriff’s Office and County of Union Employee participants for the six month period from July 1, 2015 to December 31, 2015 for a total amount not to exceed $60,000.00.
.

.
That was Undersheriff Gerald B. Green whose father is Union County Democrat chair and Assemblyman Gerald B. Green explaining that for what is now $10,000 per month somebody (or some team of people) come to the Union County Administration Building (possibly in the freeholder meeting room since he did say ‘here’) to conduct what appear to be weight-loss classes in the mornings and at lunchtime.

According to their website the Max Challenge is described as:

a life-changing 10-week program where we help our members to get in the best shape of their lives. We combine exciting fitness classes for all ability levels with sensible nutrition guidance, tons of support and motivation to help make you feel better than ever! Jaw-dropping results are typical at The MAX. All of our members are losing weight, dropping inches, toning muscle, becoming healthier, and developing confidence all at the same time! Our program is designed for any fitness or ability level, so get in touch with us today for your first experience with The MAX!
And youtube had this video:

If there are any county employees who participate in this Union County Max Challenge maybe they can tell us where in that UC Administration they hold these classes.

This sounds more like an intervention. Hi my name is sheriff Sleepy and it’s been 13 days since I last ate two double meatballs sandwiches for lunch and slept all afternoon in my car.

Almost three quarters of a million dollars for undersheriff’s daddy/assemblyman Gerald Green’s slum property on St. George Avenue in Linden … still a tax-payer grabbing noose on Linden taxpayers. No surprise son comes out to support another tax-payer grabbing folly.

    @ Dan LOL LOL LOL

Interesting(no it is really outrageous) that the freeholders would vote unanimously (they always do) to provide the sheriff’s department with an elaborate bennie for weight reduction in order for the speedier policing of their constituents that elected them; while their constituents have to get along by invoking a much less tech approach to weight loss–namely eating less! It never ends.

This 10 wk program is utilized by many employees in departments other than the Sheriffs. They go exercise on county time and with county funds. The old juvenile detention center on top of the parking garage is where they go to “exercise”. I bet some friends and family members also utilize the program given probably by a friend or family vendor. Only in Union Waste The Taxpayers Money County!!
